Program:
Our program focuses on Living Lands and Waters (Link), an award-winning organization founded by 23 year-old Chad Pegracke, in 1997. LL&W is a highly successful volunteer-driven organization which cleans up and restores America's waterways. Since its creation, the LL&W crew (living on river barges for nine months of the year), has engaged more than 125,000 volunteers to clear nearly 13 million pounds of waste from US rivers and waterways, and restored natural plants and trees to the shorelines. Our speaker Mike Coyne-Logan will talk about their mission and accomplishments, and share opportunities to get involved in future clean-up projects
