North Stars return to Sun Valley, Idaho
February 8 - 15, 2025
NorthStars are returning to Sun Valley, Idaho, home of one of the nation’s iconic downhill ski resorts (opened in 1936). Sun Valley also has 200k of networked x-country trails. Our last trip in February 2023 was a great success. We’ll have six days of glorious skiing! Mix it up and do some down-hill skiing or snowshoeing on dedicated trails. Accommodations:
We’re staying at the Limelight Hotel in downtown Ketchum, Idaho within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The hotel provides: a scrumptious, daily breakfast buffet (with enough extras to make a trail lunch), a fitness center, WiFi, and a pool and hot tub. The hotel also has an onsite restaurant and lounge with live music many nights, room service, and a complete spa for that apre-ski massage. is based on 16 club members.
Cost:
Estimated costs of $2150 per person includes airfare, ground transportation, lodging (two per room), and full breakfasts. Other meals, luggage costs,and ski passes are your responsibility.

Ski Norway March 8-24, 2025

Come ski the extensive network of trails on the mountain plateaus of Norway in March, 2025, with the option of skiing the Birkebeiner races March 10-17, 2025--(Additional signup is necessary for Birkebeiner). The snowfall is plentiful and the scenery is stunning.
The trip includes: 1.5 days in Oslo. Hotel rooms and meals: most rooms are double occupancy, hotel prices include double occupancy, single rooms are available at an additional cost. All meals are included in Sjusjoen and Venabu, only breakfast is included in Oslo. Also included: bus transportation, tips, taxes and fees. Airfare is not included.

Norway Week One Accommodations: Rustad Hotell in Sjusjoen March 8-18
Week one, we will be staying at the Rustad Hotell in Sjusjoen, a 4th generation family owned mountain lodge, with skiing right out the door. The Rustad Hotell offers delicious meals, cozy rooms for socializing, a waxing room and 2 saunas.
The accommodations are double rooms with private bathrooms. Sjusjoen has been voted the #1 Cross Country Skiing destination in Norway.
You will have the option to ski the Norwegian Birkebeiner and the races will be held on March 15th and 16th. You will need to sign up for the races on your own.

Lillehammer is also nearby where you can see the Olympic venues, visit museums and enjoy shopping.
Skiing is Right from the Door
Sjusjøen has been voted the “#1 Cross Country Skiing destination in Norway”. A network of 300+ km of groomed trails offers unlimited possibilities for all levels of skiers.
Snow conditions are stable, and March is the best month for skiing in Norway. The days are longer, the sun warmer, yet the snow usually remains dry. Many of the trails are above the timberline offering spectacular views. The forested trails in the lower areas offer shelter from the elements on cold and windy days.
Other things to do
Sjusjøen Village has a grocery store, a nice ski shop, a couple of coffee shops and a bar. You will also find dog sledding in the area and snow shoeing can be done almost everywhere. For more serious shopping and to visit museums you may want to go to Lillehammer. Link: www.Lillehammer.no. There is frequent bus service between Sjusjøen and Lillehammer during the day but none at night.
Norway Week Two Accommodations: Venabu/Oslo (March 15-24)
Transfer directly to Venabu from Sjusjøen, plus spend a day and a half in Oslo at the end of your trip.
Week two, we will be staying at the Venabu Fjellhotell, a family owned hotel on the edge of the Rondane National Park, with 140K of skiing right out the door. The hotel offers delicious meals, spacious lounges for socializing, a waxing room, and saunas. You also have the option of signing up for massages, yoga classes, dog sledding, snowshoe tours, and horse drawn sleigh rides. The accommodations are a combination of double rooms with private bathrooms in the hotel and cabins next to the hotel.
All meals included: At both the Rustad Hotell and the Venabu Fjellhotell, all meals are included: a smorgasbord breakfast, where you will pack your lunch for the day, and a plated dinner.
