Great Bear Chase--5 days skiing in Houghton, Michigan area
About this event
The trip to Houghton area will be on March 7-11. We will ski on 8,9, and 10. Possible night ski on the 7th. There are several trails in the area.
On the 9th The Great Bear Chase takes place on the Swedetown trails. If you want to participate, go to the Great Bear Chase website and register. They have distances from 10 to 50 Km. If you do not want to race, the other trails are available.
We will try to ski several of the area trails before returning home on the 11th. Meals are on your own, trip price will include lodging. The plan is to have evening meals together.
Once the VRBO is rented there will be no refund for the lodging as it would affect what others are paying. If a replacement person is found there will be a full refund.
Participants are encouraged to car pool (six hour drive).
Costs: Estimate $100 - $300 for four nights, depending on VRBO avialability, room sharing, and # of people. Other costs: meals, gas for car, trail passes, entry fee for Great Bear Chase
