Jan 26, Wed {WW} Snowshoe at Afton State Park. Meet at 10:00 a.m. in first parking lot on right at the Visitor Center, 6959 Peller Ave S, Hastings, MN. Snowshoe at 10:15. Explore the Deer Valley Loop, a beautiful 3.5-mile, lesser-used area of the park going along a creek and to expansive overlooks. A narrow trail goes up hills and down ravines. Hiking poles are advisable. Bring a bag lunch for inside the Visitor Center afterwards. Restrooms and water available. May see deer on hillsides or pileated woodpecker at Visitor Center bird feeders.
