April 19, Sun {WW} Horseback Riding {A Wednesday Wanderer event on Sunday!}. Meet at 12:45 pm in the RCU Discovery Center, YMCA Camp St. Croix, 345 Riverview Drive, Hudson, WI 54016. Directions: From St. Paul, take Highway I-94 east. Cross St. Croix River and take Exit 2, Carmichael Road & County Road F. Turn right {south} on Carmichael Road, go 1 mile, then turn right at YMCA Camp St. Croix North Entrance Daycroix sign.There is a parking lot on your right just before RCU Discovery Center. This is a 2-hour experience (1-3 pm) riding well-trained horses on easy trails. No experience necessary. Stairsteps available for getting on and off your horse. Hard hats required and provided. Wear long, loose-fitting pants (no capris or shorts) and closed-toe shoes (boots with heel recommended). As an option after riding, we can walk to Explorer Point where we can sit down for some snacks while overlooking the St. Croix River. Cost is $20-25/per person.
PLEASE NOTE: You must RSVP to me by APRIL 13^th as there are a limited number of horses and the trail leader will need to know how many horses to saddle up for us.
