CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER ISSUES - Did you miss the first Square Lake ride? It was a beautiful day, gorgeous scenery, and lots of fun with relaxed conversation as we rode. If you want to be stronger and have fun getting there then join us on this fun ride.
This ride, starting again at Square Lake Park, North of Stillwater, is a loop ride totaling 16.5 miles. It repeats some of the route on the May 7 ride and adds a few climbs and descents as we work our way into and out of Marine on St. Croix. You may ride the loop as many times as you want or cut it shorter and do the out and back as we did last weekend. Maps will be provided and we will regroup as necessary.
You will also get a TIPS sheet with info on improving your pedaling, how to sit in your saddle to maximize your effort without exhaustion, and some ideas to make you a stronger rider. Also some good websites for additional info. Meet at Square Lake Park, 15450 Square Lake Trail N, at 10:00 a.m. and begin riding at 10:15. The parking lot is at the top of the hill on the east side of Square Lake. There is a $7 daily parking fee (cash only), payable at the honor box. Park in the first lot near the honor box. A $30 annual park permit can be purchased at a Washington County license center. If people enjoy this ride, we’ll try to schedule another one out of Hudson, WI in June.
