Bike streets and trails of Bloomington and Eden Prairie.
Join us for a potluck picnic at Carol Wahl‘s house with the option of biking or hiking before the picnic. Bike ride will be a leisurely 20-30 miles. Ride starts at 9:30 a.m. and the hike starts at 10:00, both from Carol‘s house in Minneapolis.
This ride of about 30 miles will be on roads, some of which need some repair and many don‘t have bike lanes. Traffic is light and the scenery is really nice! We‘ll pass through Excelsior and Wayzata with a short option of the Dakota Trail.
Optional short ride. Mileage between 20.0 to 20.6 miles. Meet at same time and place as long ride. Meet at 9:30, bike at 9:45 from Minnetonka City Hall.
I plan on leading a hike leaving from Minnetonka City Hall (the same place that Fran and Gary‘s bike rides begin).
Meet at 7 pm at DanceLife Ballroom, 6015 Lyndale for 1-hr lesson followed by dancing 8-9:30. Everyone has fun, even first timers! No experience necessary. Meet at 5:15 pm, Saigon Uptown, 3035 Lyndale if group dinner before dancing is desired. $10

Main beach on west side of Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis
Meet at 6:30 p.m. near the Sand Castle Restaurant at the main beach on the west side of Lake Nokomis, just off Cedar Ave S in Minneapolis. There is free parking in the street. We‘ll stop at Tom‘s Popcorn Shop on the way back to our cars.
~25-mile Bike Ride from Theodore Wirth Chalet to Luce Line to Medicine Lake Loop and back. Meet 9:45, Ride at 10:00
Maplewood Community Center
This will be a pleasant, not-very-hilly ride of about 38 miles that takes us past numerous lakes and along a couple of wonderful trails. Plan on averaging 12-13 MPH on this mapless, stay-together ride.
Looking for volunteers to work one day a month at the Food Group facility in New Hope. We usually volunteer from 9:30 a.m. to noon, packaging produce.
Pond-Dakota Mission Park is a little known piece of MN history overlooking the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Harold Hamilton, a longtime North Star, lives across the street and has invited us to join him for hiking and lunch on his deck.
This is one of Sam‘s favorite parks - there is a fantastic playground and great hiking trails
Our "Snowstorm Tent" will be returning to Open Streets - Nicollet to welcome folks to the coming winter season on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Harriet Island Regional Park
Meet at Harriet Island Regional Park in St. Paul at 10:00 a.m. Begin biking at 10:15 on this 22-mile ride on flat trails. Eat at Joseph’s Grill after the ride.
N Mississippi River Regional Park
“Bike Your Park Day” is a national event sponsored by Adventure Cycling Association. To celebrate locally, we are offering a club ride from N Mississippi River Regional Park in Minneapolis to Elm Creek Park Reserve. Choose from three biking options.
